Original Broadway Casts of Avenue Q, [title of show] Reunite at Vineyard Theatre 30th Anniversary Gala

The Vineyard Theatre celebrated its 30th anniversary season on Monday, March 18 with a gala concert at the Edison Ballroom. The evening included reunions and performances from the casts of Vineyard productions Avenue Q, [title of show], and Wig Out!. Colman Domingo, who received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in The Scottsboro Boys, served as host.

On hand to celebrate the prolific off-Broadway company were a host of Vineyard veterans, including playwrights Charles Grodin (One of the All Time Greats) and Nicky Silver (The Lyons); actors Billy Crudup (The Metal Children); Veanne Cox (The Altruists); Linus Roache (Middletown); original Avenue Q cast members Stephanie D'Abruzzo, John Tartaglia, Ann Harada, Jordan Gelber, Carmen Ruby Floyd, and Rick Lyon; Scottsboro Boys cast members John Cullum, Colman Domingo, Forrest McClendon, and Sharon Washington; Wig Out! stars Angela Grovey, Rebecca Naomi Jones, and McKenzie Frye; and the [title of show]/Now. Here. This. family, Michael Berresse, Susan Blackwell, Hunter Bell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jeff Bowen, and Larry Pressgrove.

Currently running at the Vineyard Theatre is Rajiv Joseph's two-character drama The North Pool, starring Stephen Barker Turner and Babak Tafti. The off-Broadway company's season opened with Douglas McGrath's docudrama Checkers, starring Tony Award winner Anthony LaPaglia (A View from the Bridge) and Tony Award nominee Kathryn Erbe (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) as Richard and Pat Nixon, and concludes with the upcoming production of Jenny Schwartz's Somewhere Fun, starring Kathleen Chalfant (Wit) and Kate Mulgrew (Equus).
