London Calling: Sierra Boggess, Joyce DiDonato, and More Featured on The John Wilson Orchestra's Rodgers & Hammerstein: At The Movies

The chart-topping U.K. album will hit the states with 15 new recordings of R&H film scores.

Renowned conductor and arranger John Wilson and his The John Wilson Orchestra will release their second album, Rodgers & Hammerstein: At The Movies, on April 9 in the U.S. The album showcases from Rodgers & Hammerstein's best-loved musicals, including Carousel, Oklahoma!, and South Pacific.

Rodgers & Hammerstein: At The Movies is the first re-recording of many of these scores since the original movie sessions. Soloists featured on the album include Joyce DiDonato, Sierra Boggess, Anna-Jane Casey, Maria Ewing, Julian Ovenden, David Pittsinger, and the Maida Vale Singers.

The album was released on October 1, 2012 in the U.K., where it topped the Amazon All-Genres Bestsellers chart, and debuted at number 17 on the overall U.K. album charts.
