February may not have had any Broadway opening nights, but that doesn't mean the month lacked star power. It was the month that the Drama League honored five-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald for her contributions to the world of musical theater. It was the month that not one, but TWO starry theatrical concerts were held at Avery Fisher Hall, the landmark musicals Ragtime and Carousel. Also in February, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren once again took on the role of Queen Elizabeth II (this time on stage), the body of Richard III was found buried under a parking lot, a coterie of kitties auditioned for Broadway's Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Game of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke stepped out, albeit separately, to meet the press.
