Drama Desk Award nominee Cheyenne Jackson has replaced Sean Hayes in the feature film version of Richard Alfieri's Broadway play Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks.

In the film, to be directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman, Jackson will play Michael Minetti, who is hired by retiree Lily Harrison (played by Oscar nominee and Broadway veteran Gena Rowlands) to give her private dance lessons at her home for six weeks. The film's cast will also include Oscar nominee Ann-Margret (The Who's Tommy), Tony and Oscar winner Rita Moreno (The Ritz), and Tony winner Jonathan Pryce (Miss Saigon).

Jackson was most recently seen on Broadway in The Performers. He received Drama Desk Award nominations for his work in Finian's Rainbow and Xanadu, and a Theatre World Award for All Shook Up. His other Broadway credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie and Aida. He will soon appear in HBO's Behind the Candelabra, opposite Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.
