The Memory Show tells the story of woman (Kritzer) who returns home to care for her aging mother (Cox) who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The musical paints a portrait of this tumultuous mother-daughter relationship, as their conflicting versions of the past collide. The Memory Show made its world premiere in 2010 at Barrington Stage Company where both Kritzer and Cox originated their roles. They will now bring these original characters to the off-Broadway stage for its New York premiere.
The creative team for The Memory Show will feature set design by Brian Prather, costume design by Kathryn Rohe, lighting design by Chris Lee, sound design by Walter Trarbach, music direction by Vadim Feitchner, and orchestrations by Lynn Shankel. Theresa Flanagan will stage manage.
