Casting has been announced for Mike Bartlett's new off-Broadway play, Bull, which is scheduled for a limited run from April 25-June 2 at 59E59 Theaters. It will be presented as part of the company's Brits Off Broadway Festival, which celebrates the work of British playwrights. Bull's four-person cast will feature Adam James (Don't Dress for Dinner), Eleanor Matsuura (Danton's Death), Neil Stuke (Blue/Orange) and Sam Troughton (Romeo & Juliet).
The companion piece to Bartlett's four-person play Cock, which ended its successful off-Broadway run this past October at the Duke on 42nd Street, Bull takes place in a world of office politics where three people are vying for two jobs. The office where the play is set is described as "a corporate wrestling ring complete with water cooler, with the audience sitting or standing around the four sides."
The design team will feature sets by Soutra Gilmour, lighting by Peter Mumford, and sound by Christopher Shutt. Alistair David will provide the choreography and Christian Thompson will serve as fight director.
