Terrence McNally’s And Away We Go to Premiere at the Pearl; 2012-2013 Season Announced

Pearl Theatre Company has announced its 2012-2013 season, which as previously announced, will be the company’s first at its new permanent home in the venue on 42nd Street recently vacated by Signature Theatre Company.

The Pearl will offer the world premiere of Terrence McNally’s And Away We Go, to run April 19 – May 19, 2013. The play travels through time to go backstage in ancient Athens, to a rehearsal at London’s Globe Theatre, to the first reading of a new play by Chekhov, and to the American premiere of Waiting for Godot in Coral Gables, FL.

Also on the company’s schedule is Figaro (October 19 – November 18), Charles Morey’s adaptation of Pierre Beaumarchais’ The Marriage of Figaro; In Acting Shakespeare (January 10 – February 13), James Devita’s solo show that’s part autobiography and part tribute to the Bard; and Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1 (February 15 – March 17).
