Tammy Blanchard to Appear on Showtimes’ The Big C

Tammy Blanchard will appear in a three episode arc on Showtime’s The Big C, according to a report on Deadline.com. She will play Giselle, a sexy, married, and uninhibited pilates instructor who enters into an unconventional relationship with Sean, the character played by John Benjamin Hickey.

Blanchard has received Tony Award nominations for her performance as Hedy La Rue in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, playing at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and for her performance as Louise in Gypsy, opposite Bernadette Peters.

In addition, she won an Emmy Award for her performance as the young Judy Garland in Life With Judy: Me and My Shadows. Among her other film and television credits are Moneyball, Sybil, and Of Two Minds.
