Rosemarie DeWitt to Star in Director Gus Van Sant’s Film Promised Land

Rosemarie DeWitt is set to star in the upcoming Focus Features/Participant Media film Promised Land, written by and starring Matt Damon and John Krasinski and directed by Gus Van Sant, according to Deadline.com.

Promised Land tells the story of two corporate executives, one of whom faces a life-changing event in a small town. The film’s original draft was written by Dave Eggers.

Stage and screen star DeWitt is known for her work on the film Rachel Getting Married and television’s United States of Tara and Mad Men. Her many stage credits include Family Week, Swimming in the Shallows, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, and Small Tragedy.
