The Public Theater has announced additional casting for its 50th anniversary Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte Theater.

The season will open with Shakespeare’s As You Like It, running June 5-30. Daniel Sullivan will direct the romantic comedy, that centers on a young woman who follows her exiled father into the Forest of Arden and is herself followed by the man who loves her. The second offering at the Delacorte will be Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical, Into the Woods, to be directed by Timothy Sheader, with co-direction by Liam Steel, who both collaborated on an al fresco production of the musical in London in 2010. Into the Woods combines the classic stories of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Cinderella, with an original fairy tale about a childless baker and his wife, to explore the meaning of “happily ever after.”

The company will feature Jack Broderick (Narrator), Gideon Glick (Jack), Cooper Grodin (Rapunzel’s Prince), Ivan Hernandez (Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf), Tina Johnson (Granny), Josh Lamon (Steward), Jessie Mueller (Cinderella), Laura Shoop (Cinderella’s Mother), and Tess Soltau (Rapunzel).
