Aquila's production seeks to return to ensemble performance focusing on the emotional intensity, sexual energy, and intricate relationships found in Macbeth. The company's goal is to create a strong ensemble to explore the play in depth; to do this the production rehearsed in Greece, and has been performed in over fifty venues nation wide over the past year.
The New York cast will be led by Guy Oliver-Watts (Macbeth) and Rebecca Reaney (Lady Macbeth / Boy), and also feature Rachael Barrington, James Hogg, James Lavender, and Aaron McDaniel, with additional casting announcements to come.
The production is directed by company member Desiree Sanchez.
