On Wednesday, March 28, The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess stars Audra McDonald and Norm Lewis welcomed Nice Work If You Can Get It stars Matthew Broderick and Kelli O’Hara to Broadway as the second production this season featuring the work of the Gershwins.
With a book by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, Nice Work If You Can Get It gets its score from all over the Gershwin songbook, pulling well-known classics as well as forgotten gems with music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin.
The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess opened on January 12 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre and is set to play through September 30, while Nice Work If You Can Get It will begin previews at the Imperial Theatre on March 29 with an official opening of April 24.
