PHOTO FLASH: Michael Laurence, Mary Beth Peil at Press Event for The Morini Strad

The cast and creative team for Primary Stages‘ production of Willy Holtzman’s The Morini Strad met the press Tuesday, March 6 at the company’s rehearsal studio.

Michael Laurence, Mary Beth Peil, and violin soloist Hanah Stuart will star in the production, which is directed by Primary Stages’ founder Casey Childs. The play is inspired by the unexpected friendship between concert violinist Erica Morini (Peil) and violin maker Brian Skarstad (Laurence), and their relationship with her priceless Stradivarius violin.

Skarstad, himself, was also present at the event, along with Primary Stages artistic director Andrew Leynse and managing director Eliot Fox.
