The cast and creative team behind Broadway’s Nice Work If You Can Get It met the press Wednesday, March 14 to offer a preview of the production at Gibney Dance Studios. The production, which is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, will begin previews March 29 in advance of an April 24 opening at the Imperial Theatre.
During the press event, stars features Matthew Broderick, Kelli O’Hara, Judy Kaye, Terry Beaver, Stanley Wayne Mathis and the company performed selections from the Prohibition Era-set musical, which features a score by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Joe DiPietro, including “Demon Rum,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and “S’Wonderful.”
The principal cast also features Robyn Hurder, Michael McGrath, Estelle Parsons, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and Chris Sullivan. The company includes Cameron Adams, Clyde Alves, Kaitlyn Davidson, Jason DePinto, Kimberly Fauré, Robert Hartwell, Stephanie Martignetti, Barrett Martin, Michael X. Martin, Adam Perry, Jeffrey Schecter, Jennifer Smith, Joey Sorge, Samantha Sturm, Kristen Beth Williams and Candice Marie Woods.
Derek McLane (scenic design), Martin Pakledinaz (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Brian Ronan (sound design) David Chase (musical supervision) and Tom Murray (musical director) make up the creative team.
