PHOTO FLASH: Leslie Uggams Performs at Barnes & Noble to Promote Uptown Downtown CD

Tony and Emmy Award winner Leslie Uggams celebrated the launch of her new CD Uptown Downtown with a performance as part of the “Live at Barnes & Noble” series at the bookstore’s 150 East 86th Street at Lexington location in New York City on Thursday, March 8.
The CD contains 21 songs from her critically acclaimed musical autobiography of the same name. Uggams was accompanied by Don Rebic on piano, Steve Bargonetti on guitar, and Ray Kilday on bass.
As previously reported, Uggams will play the role of Fauna in the New York City Encores! upcoming production of Pipe Dream, at New York City Center. The actress won a Tony Award for Hallelujah, Baby!, with other Broadway credits including Anything Goes, Blues in the Night, and On Golden Pond.
