Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS presented the 15th and grand finale edition of the Broadway Bears auction Sunday, March 18 at B.B. Kings Blues Club & Grill.
Bryan Batt hosted the event, with Lorna Kelly serving as auctioneer of the handmade, one-of-a-kind, theatrically costumed teddy bears. The event raised a record-setting $198,300 benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Guests and presenters in attendance included Danny Burstein, Faith Dane, Paige Davis, Harvey Evans, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Norm Lewis, Rebecca Luker, Andrea McArdle, Pamela Myers, and Patrick Page.
The bears on display represented shows ranging from the original production of Gypsy to Bette Midler’s Clams on the Half Shell Revue to the current revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
