New York Neo-Futurists to Premiere You Are in an Open Field

The New York Neo-Futurists are set to present the world premiere of You Are in an Open Field, April 26-May 19 at HERE. Christopher Dippel will direct.

In the piece, three New York Neo-Futurists create their own versions of Zork, Minecraft, and Zelda live on stage. Acquiring treasures and meeting bosses, writers Kevin R. Free, Eevin Hartsough, Marta Rainer, and Adam Smith build their own utopian universe set to a Nerdcore beat.

Original music for You Are in an Open Field is composed by Carl Riehl. The live band will feature Carl Riehl on keytar and synths, Scott Selig on bass and guitar, and Kyle Levenick on drums. The design team will include Laurie Berg (choreography), Lauren Parrish (production and lighting design), and Liliana Dirks-Goodman (lighting design).
