She will once again play ambitious lawyer Patti Nyholm -- who will team up with another laywer, Louis Canning (played by recurring guest star Michael J. Fox) on a case against Lockhart Gardner.

Plimpton has received Tony Award nominations for her performances in Pal Joey, Top Girls, and The Coast of Utopia. Among her many other stage credits are Cymbeline, Shining City, Pericles, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hurlyburly, and Hobson's Choice. In addition, she currently stars on FOX's Raising Hope.
