Josh Young to Open in the Role of Judas in Broadway’s Jesus Christ Superstar

Josh Young will perform the role of Judas as scheduled for the opening night performance of the Broadway revival of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Neil Simon Theatre tonight, March 22.

The actor has missed several shows in the past week due to illness, including the majority of press performances. His role has been covered by Jeremy Kushnier during this time.

The production, which originated at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, is directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff. The cast also features Paul Nolan as Jesus Christ, Chilina Kennedy as Mary Magdalene, Tom Hewitt as Pontius Pilate, Bruce Dow as King Herod, Marcus Nance as Caiaphas, and Aaron Walpole as Annas.
