The Irish Repertory Theatre and Gingold Theatrical Group are set to present George Bernard Shaw’s Man and Superman, April 26-June 17 at The Irish Repertory Theatre. David Staller will direct.

Presented as part of Irish Rep’s 24th Season and GTG’s first-ever “Shaw New York” festival, Man and Superman tells the story of Jack Tanner, who is as determined not to marry his ward Ann Whitefield as she is to land him. The play will be performed
with its rarely seen “interior play” Don Juan in Hell.

The cast will feature Janie Brookshire, Jon Fletcher, Jonathan Hammond, Laurie Kennedy, Max Gordon Moore, Paul O’Brien, Margaret Robinson, Brian Sgambati, Zachary Spicer, and Tony Award-nominee Brian Murray.

The design team will include James Noone (set design), Kirk Bookman (lighting design), Theresa Squire (costume design), M. Florian Staab (sound design), and Robert-Charles Vallance (hair and wig design).

GTG’s “Shaw New York” festival will run through the spring at various venues in Manhattan. Designed to be an annual event, the festival includes a Shaw Symposium as well as concerts featuring music Shaw championed as “modern music” and a reading of one of GTG’s commissioned new plays.
