Casting Announced for Target Margin Theater’s 0,2012: The Last Futurist Lab

Target Margin Theater and The Bushwick Starr have announced casting for the first half of 0,2012: The Last Futurist Lab, their annual series. The Lab is set to run March 16-April 7 at The Bushwick Starr. Target Margin Theater managing director John Del Gaudio and associated artist Kate Marvin will curate the series.

0,2012: The Last Futurist Lab will examine Russian classics you know and undiscovered gems of the avant-garde, from Anton Chekhov to Daniil Kharms. Scheduled Program A (March 16-24) performances include Maia Karo Kate Marvin’s Pozhar! (or Time Machine Ignition) starring Clare Barron, Stefani Charitou, Maia Karo, Claire Moodey, Eva Peskin, Jeremy Pickard, James Smith III, and Vitus Wieser. Eliza Bent will present Karma Kharms (or yarns by Kharms) featuring Alessandro M, Antonevia Ocho-Coultes, Cass Collins, Chris Masullo, Dennis Allen, Jack Frederick, Josh Chang, Julia Sirna-Frest, KatieRose McLaughlin, Megan Gaffney, Michael Newton, Mike Mikos, Nikki Calonge, Rebecca Marzalek-Kelly, Sam Traylor, and Yuki Kawahisa.

In Program B (March 17-25), Regina Gibson, Nathan Richard Wagner, Maxwell Cosmo Cramer, and Marc LeVasseur will perform in The Gray Notebook, led by Corinne Donly. Eben Hoffer will present The What Dance featuring Nathaniel Basch-Gould, Nick Trotta, Joey Wolfslau, Isaac Hoffer, and Eben Hoffer.

The series will continue with Program C (March 18-24) which will include The 2012 puppet re-enactment of the 1920 Bolshevik re-enactment of the STORMING OF THE WINTER PALACE, October 1917, led by Kathleen Kennedy Tobin and Philip Shneidman presenting Man in a Black Coat, which will feature Helen Gabrielsen (Soprano), Kannan Vasudevan (Tenor), Isaac Grier (Bass-Baritone), Nicholas Tamagna (Countertenor) with Inessa Zaretsky (Musical Director/Piano), Käthe Jarka (Cello), and Lisa Tipton (Violin).

Casting for the second half of the festival, which will include The Bedbug by Vladimir Mayakovsky, Words Express, Time and Death… A dream play, EXPLODITY!, The Puppet Show by Alexander Blok, and TROIKA, a concert-play, will be announced at a later date.
