The Broadway production of Newsies has announced that it will offer a ticket lottery for its opening night performance, March 29 at the Nederlander Theatre. The ticket allotment has been donated by Disney Theatrical Productions, with 100% of the proceeds to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The lottery for the 100 available tickets will begin at noon, and the winners will be drawn at 12:30pm. Winners may then purchase up to two $30.00 cash only tickets to that evening’s performance.

With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman, and a book by Harvey Fierstein, Newsies tells the story of a charismatic newsboy who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets of New York.
