Famed Hollywood acting coach Eric Morris will celebrate 50 years of the Eric Morris System with a weekend celebration in New York City, to be held April 27-29 in the Times Square area.

Morris’ acting System is rooted in the Method, yet distinctly represents his own approach. He is the author of numerous books including Being & Doing, Irreverent Acting, Acting from the Ultimate Consciousness, Acting, Imaging and the Unconscious, The Diary of a Professional Experiencer, and his latest, Freeing The Actor.

On Friday, April 27 from 5pm to 7pm, Morris will give a free-of-charge lecture and sign books at the Drama Book Shop.

He will conduct a weekend workshop on April 28 and 29 at Manhattan Theatre Works (311 W. 43rd St. 8th Fl), giving a limited number of participants the chance to work with him individually. (For full details and pricing information, click here.)

The weekend’s events will conclude with a free-of-charge celebration in honor of both the 50 year anniversary of the Eric Morris System, and also Morris’ 80th birthday. It will take place at Southern Hospitality (645 9th Ave @ 45th St) on Sunday, April 29 at 7:30pm.

All events are produced by Anthony Vincent Bova (the exclusive New York instructor of the Eric Morris System), and the Bova Actors Workshop.
