Broadway veterans Wilson Cruz and Patrick Wilson will be among the presenters at the New York City GLAAD Media Awards ceremony, to be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square on March 19, hosted by Andy Cohen.

As previously reported, Ricky Martin, who will be returning to Broadway next season in Evita, will receive the Vito Russo Award at the ceremony. The honor is named after one of GLAAD’s founders, and is presented to an openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for the LGBT community.

In addition, Russell Simmons, who produced the Broadway run of Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam as well as its television incarnation, has been newly announced to receive GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award at the NYC ceremony.

GLAAD’s Los Angeles ceremony, to be held at the Westin Bonaventure on April 10, will honor the previously reported Kristin Chenoweth with the Vanguard Award, and also Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of Entertainment at NBC, who will receive the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.

The winners in competitive categories for the GLAAD Media Awards — which recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives — will also be announced during the course of the two ceremonies.
