Victoria Bundonis, Jonathan Gregg, Aaron J. Libby, et al. Set for APAC’s The Human Comedy

Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) has announced casting for Galt MacDermott and William Dumaresq’s musical The Human Comedy, to run May 5-21. Tom Wojtunik will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Christine O’Grady and have music direction Jeffrey Campos.

Based on William Saroyan’s short story of the same name, the piece centers on a young telegram messenger who is exposed to the sorrows and joys experienced by his family and the residents of his small California town during World War II.

The company will feature Aaron J. Libby (Homer), Victoria Bundonis (Kate), Jonathan Gregg (Spangler), Deidre Haren (Bess), Stephen Trafton (Marcus), D. William Hughes (Tobey), Rachel Rhodes-Devey (Mary), Richard Vernon (Grogan), Rayna Hickman (Diana), Anthony Pierini (Ulysses), Marcie Henderson (Beautiful Music), Douglas Lyons (Trainman), Michael Jones (Felix), Philip Deyesso (Thief), Tauren Hagans (Mexican Woman), Jan-Peter Pedross (Matthew), Nicole Mangi (Helen), and Jean Liuzzi (Mrs. Hicks), as well as Amie Bermowitz, Nathan Brisby, Chris Causer, Andrew Leggieri, Jennifer Margulis, Allyson Pace, and Tim Shelton.

The creative team will include Michael P. Kramer (scenic design), Hunter Kaczorowski (costume design), and Dan Jobbins (lighting design).
