Complete casting has been announced for the Broadway revival of John Guare’s The House of Blue Leaves, which will begin previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre on April 4. The production, which will open officially on April 25, will be directed by David Cromer.

The play is set during the Pope’s 1965 visit to New York City, which brings the hope of answered prayers and a few unexpected guests to an apartment in Sunnyside, Queens, where Artie Shaughnessy, a zookeeper, pines for a new life as a popular songwriter.

Thomas Sadoski will play the role of Billy Einhorn. The actor received a Tony Award nomination for reasons to be pretty and most recently appeared in Lincoln Center Theater’s production of Other Desert Cities.

The cast will also feature Ben Stiller (Artie Shaughnessy), Edie Falco (Bananas Shaughnessy), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Bunny Flingus), Alison Pill (Corrinna Stroller), Mary Beth Hurt (Head Nun), Christopher Abbott (Ronnie Shaughnessy), Halley Feiffer (Little Nun), Susan Bennett (Second Nun), and Jimmy Davis (Military Policeman).

The production team will include Scott Pask (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design) and Brian MacDevitt (lighting design).
