Richard Skipper, who created and starred in the one-person Off-Broadway production, “Carol Channing” In Concert, at the St. Luke’s Theatre, has departed the production. The show’s producer, The Camelback Kid, has released a statement saying that Skipper “informed TCK that he is no longer available for performances” and announced plans to re-cast the role of Carol Channing for both New York City and out-of-town engagements.

“Carol Channing” In Concert celebrates the career and persona of the unique theatrical legend. The musical evening surveys the songs best associated with the roles Channing has played in her stage and film career, and the show has many stops along the way for interactions with the audience. The production is directed by Mark Robert Gordon.
