Hoffman shared Grandma's birthday cake with real-life grandmothers who were born in March and given free tickets to the performance by the producers, including Adele Zukazski, Lois Slaski, Minnie Barker, Bobbi Timberlake, and Amelia Smith.

Based on the iconic characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, The Addams Family features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The production currently stars Roger Rees and Bebe Neuwirth.
