The 5th Annual Women’s Awards — presented by the Women’s Liberal Democratic Club, Jim Owles Democratic Club, Broadway Speaks OUT, and Yetta Kurland — were held at the historic Stonewall Inn on Wednesday, March 2. The event was hosted by Kurland, along with nightlife star Marti Gould Cummings.
This annual event honors women in the New York and LGBT communities who continue to give back. Performers included Cummings, along with Nath Ann Carrera, Sean Keough, Kelly King, and Carolyn Murphy.
Among the evening’s guests were Bill DeBlasio, Marcus Lovingood, Cathy Marino-Thomas, Heather Matarazzo, and Brandon Ruckdashel.
Proceeds from the show benefit the women’s advocacy group Hollaback!
