New York Theatre Workshop has announced an additional one-week extension for Rick Elice’s Peter and the Starcatcher, adapted from the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The production will now run through April 24.

Roger Rees and Alex Timbers have directed the piece, which has music by Wayne Barker and music direction by Marco Paguia. The show purports to tell the origin story of Peter Pan.

The company features Adam Chanler-Berat in the title role, as well as Christian Borle (Black Stache), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Molly), Teddy Bergman (Fighting Prawn), Arnie Burton (Mrs. Bumbrake), Matt D’Amico (Slank/Hawking Clam), Brandon Dirden (Captain Scott), Carson Elrod (Prentiss), Kevin Del Aguila (Smee), Greg Hildreth (Alf), Karl Kenzler (Lord Aster), and David Rossmer (Ted).

As previously reported, Steve Rosen will play Black Stache at certain performances through April 1, due to filming commitments by star Christian Borle.

The creative team includes Steven Hoggett (movement), Donyale Werle (scenic design), Paloma Young (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), and Darron L. West (sound design).
