Michael Chernus, Greg Keller, Susan Pourfar, Debargo Sanyal et al. Set for 52nd Street Project’s Whaddaya Need?

Betsy Aidem, Cecilia Arana, Amelia Campbell, Raul Castillo, Dominic Comperatore, Michael Chernus, Danyon Davis, Maxon Davis, Kathy Hiler, Ruy Iskandar, Greg Keller, Ezra Knight, Alexandra Metz, Catherine Mueller, Nikiya Mathis, Ashley Marie Ortiz, Susan Pourfar, Debargo Sanyal, and Amirah Vann will perform in The 52nd Street Project’s Whaddaya Need?, Plays Made to Order, to be presented at the Five Angels Theater, April 1-3.

This program of ten one-act plays is the culmination of the organization’s semi-annual Playmaking series, which features the Project’s youngest Hell’s Kitchen mentees — ten year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education — writing for accomplished professional actors and director-dramaturges, and revealing their work to a public audience for the first time.

The Hell’s Kitchen kids writing the one-acts include Justin Bannister, Jade Cuevas, Siara Feliciano, Alex Malan, Daniel Martinez, Valeria Oliva, Julissa Peralta, Edwin Rodriguez, Martin Sanchez and Amber Urena.

The director/dramaturges are Zachary Fine, Tasha Gordon-Solmon, Kel Haney, Florencia Lozano, Lisa Rothe, Liz Tuccillo, Michael Walkup and James Yaegashi.

Whaddaya Need? will feature original music by Justin Poindexter, lighting design by Greg MacPherson, costume design by Chloe Chapin, and sound design by Betsy Rhodes.
