Martha Clarke, Mark Dendy, Bill T. Jones, John Kelly, Doug Varone, et al. Set for 2011 American Dance Festival

The line-up has been announced for the 2011 American Dance Festival, Something New, Something Treasured, to run June 9-July 23 in Durham, North Carolina.

The festival will open on June 9 with a gala performance that will include John Kelly in Martha Clarke’s Pagaliaccio, Mark Dendy’s salute to Martha Graham, the Scottish Dance Theater’s performance of Drift, the African American Dance Ensemble’s performance of the first selection of Celebration, and the Hubbard Street Dance Company’s performance of an excerpt from Ohad Naharin’s THREE TO MAX.


Other participating artists and companies will include Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Martha Clark, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Doug Varone and Dancers, Eiko & Koma, Emanuel Gat Dance, EVIDENCE, A Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Pilobolus, Rika Okamoto and Alex Brady, Rosie Herrera, Shen Wei Dance Arts, Rosas, Tao Dance Theatre, and Yossi Berg and Oded Graf.
