Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Karina Smirnoff, Louis van Amstel, et al. to Partner with Dancing with the Stars Contestants

The dancing partners for the previously reported celebrity contestants on the 12th season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars have been announced.
Pairs will include: Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke, Hines Ward and Kym Johnson, Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer, Petra Nomcova and Dimitry Chaplin, Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff, Romeo and Chelsie Hightower, Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunsakaya, and Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani.
Chmerkovskiy, Johnson, and Smirnoff have appeared on Broadway in Burn the Floor, while Ballas has toured with that production. Van Amstel conceived and choreographed the touring production of Ballroom with a Twist, which both Chaplin and Hightower have performed in.
On the show, the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
