As previously reported, Oscar winner and stage director Jonathan Demme is executive producing the series, and will direct the pilot, which is being written by Susannah Grant.

The show centers on Michael, a surgeon (Wilson) who has a connection to and information about the afterlife after his wife (Ehle) passes away.
