London Cast Recording of Sister Act to Get U.S. Release

Ghostlight Records will release the Original London Cast Recording of Sister Act in the U.S. on Tuesday, March 22 in digital form.

The CD will also be available at the Broadway Theatre, where the American production of Sister Act begins previews on March 24, and via brick-and-mortar outlets on March 29.

Based on the film of the same name about Deloris Van Cartier, a nightclub singer who goes into hiding in a convent to prevent being killed by her gangster boyfriend, Sister Act features an original score by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, and a book by multi-Emmy Award winners Cheri and Bill Steinkellner, with additional book material by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane.

Patina Miller is featured on the London CD as Deloris Van Cartier, and stars in the same role in the Broadway production opposite Victoria Clark as Mother Superior.
