Kwame Kwei-Armah, Oskar Eustis, Christian Parker, et al. Set for Contemporary Black-British Play Readings Festival

Soho Rep and the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at CUNY will co-present a festival of Contemporary Black-British Play Readings on April 6 and 9.

On Wednesday, April 6 at 4pm at the CUNY Graduate Center there will be a free reading of Bola Agbaje’s Gone Too Far!, directed by Kamilah Forbes. It will be followed by a Q&A session with Ms. Agbaje and the Royal Court Theatre’s Head of Diversity, Ola Animashawun.

On Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30pm at the CUNY Graduate Center, there will be a free reading of Roy Williams’ Fallout, directed by Christian Parker. It will be followed by a reception for the audience.

On Saturday, April 9 at 1:30pm at Soho Rep, there will be a free reading of Winsome Pinnock’s Mules directed by Seret Scott; it will be followed at 4pm by a free reading of Kwame Kwei-Armah’s Elmina’s Kitchen, directed by Oskar Eustis. After the reading, there will be a Q&A with Kwei-Armah and Animashawun.
