The Public Theater has announced casting for its repertory productions of Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well and Measure for Measure, to run June 6 – July 31 at the Delacorte Theater. As previously reported, Daniel Sullivan and David Esbjornson, respectively, will direct the plays for the theater’s 2011 Shakespeare in the Park season.

All’s Well That Ends Well focuses on the low-born Helena, as she inventively surmounts obstacle after impossible obstacle in order to win the love of the aristocratic and haughty Count Bertram.

Measure for Measure focuses on what happens when the Duke of Vienna leaves a seemingly pious man to rule over a city suffering from a certain moral decay.

The company for the productions will feature John Cullum as King of France in All’s Well and Escalus in Measure, Diane Davis (Diana/Juliet), Carson Elrod (Interpreter/Pompey), Joe Forbrich (Duke of Florence/Friar), Michael Hayden (Second Brother Dumaine/Angelo), André Holland (Bertram/Claudio), Jordan Lund (Rinaldo/Abhorson), David Manis (Lavatch/Elbow), Dakin Matthews (Lafew/Provost), Caitlin O’Connell (Widow/Nun), Annie Parisse (Helena/Mariana), Tonya Pinkins (Countess/Mistress Overdone), Lorenzo Pisoni (First Brother Dumaine/Duke), Reg Rogers (Parolles/Lucio), and Lucas Caleb Rooney (Gentleman/Barnadine), as well as Danai Gurira who will appear only in Measure, playing Isabella.

The creative team will include scenic designer Scott Pask, costume designers Elizabeth Hope Clancy (Measure for Measure) and Jane Greenwood (All’s Well That Ends Well), lighting designer Peter Kaczorowski, and composers John Gromada (Measure for Measure) and Tom Kitt (All’s Well That Ends Well), as well as Acme Sound Partners, which will provide sound design.
