Christopher Sieber will now assume the role of Georges in the Broadway production of La Cage Aux Folles on March 11 (rather than the previously announced March 15). The production, which won the Tony Award for Best Revival, is directed by Terry Johnson.

Sieber replaces Jeffrey Tambor, who withdrew from the production on February 25 due to physical difficulties. Chris Hoch has played the role of Georges since his departure, and will continue in the role through March 10.

Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, who is also the show's librettist, took over the role of Albin/Zaza on February 15.

Sieber received Tony nominations for Shrek the Musical and Monty Python's Spamalot. His additional Broadway credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie, Triumph of Love, as well as Chicago.
