Charlotte Rae, John Travolta et al. to Appear on TV Land Awards

Two-time Tony nominee Charlotte Rae will reunite with her Facts of Life co-stars Mindy Cohn, Kim Fields, Nancy McKeon, and Lisa Whelchel at this year’s TV Land Awards, which tapes April 10 at the Javits Center and will be telecast on TV Land on April 17. The cast will accept the Pop Culture Award for the NBC sit-com, which ran from 1979 to 1988.
As previously reported, stage and screen star John Travolta will appear alongside his Welcome Back Kotter castmates Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Ron Palillo and Marcia Strassman, who will receive the 35th Anniversary Award.
The awards will also honor the casts of the sitcoms Family Ties and The Cosby Show, as well as talk show host Regis Philbin. Additional details will be announced shortly.
Rae received Tony nominations for Morning, Noon and Night and Pickwick, and has numerous other theater credits on Broadway and regionally.
Travolta appeared on Broadway in Grease and Over Here!, and is well known for his work in such iconic films as Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Hairspray and Pulp Fiction.
