Betty Buckley to Perform Broadway by Request at April 9 Brooklyn Center Gala

Tony Award winner Betty Buckley will offer a one-night-only performance of Broadway By Request as the centerpiece of the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts’ annual gala, to be held on April 9 at 8pm at the Walt Whitman Theatre at Brooklyn College .

Following the concert, Buckley will be honored with the Brooklyn Center’s 2011 Cultural Leadership Award.

Buckley won a Tony Award for her performance in Cats and received a Tony nomination for her work in Triumph of Love. Among her other Broadway credits are Sunset Boulevard, 1776, Pippin, Song and Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Carrie.
