Casting has been announced for Jules Romains' 1923 satire Dr. Knock, Or The Triumph of Medicine, to begin performances April 14 at the Mint Theater in anticipation of an official opening on May 10. Gus Kaikkonen, as previously announced, will direct the production, which has already been extended through June 6.

The comedy focuses on what happens when Dr. Knock buys a small medical practice in the French countryside and then attempts to run it, using modern business practices. The play debuted in Paris in 1923 and was produced in New York in 1928.

The company will feature Scott Barrow, Thomas M. Hammond, Jennifer Harmon, Patrick Husted, Patti Perkins, and Chris Mixon.
