Not the Messiah With Eric Idle, Michael Palin, et al. to Be Released on DVD

Not the Messiah (He’s a Very Naughty Boy), a comedic oratorio based on Monty Python’s Life of Brian by Eric Idle and John Du Prez, that played London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 23, will be released by Sony Pictures on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc on June 8.

The evening featured appearances by Idle, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, and Terry Gilliam, as well as Carol Cleveland, Neil Innes, William Ferguson, Shannon Mercer, Rosalind Plowright and Christopher Purves, along with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

Bonus features include a 30-minute featurette entitled “The Road to Albert Hall,” featuring interviews with the cast and crew; “The Bright Side,” a featurette in which Idle talks about writing the classic song “Look on the Bright Side of Life”; and six sing-alongs.
