Andrea McArdle, Jim Brochu, Victoria Mallory, Loni Ackerman, Virginia Seidel, Neva Small, Gene Castle, Brian Childers, Haviland Stillwell, Tim Ewing, and Dale Radunz will perform in a concert reading of Maria Irene Fornes and Al Carmines’ Promenade, to be presented at New World Stages, on April 12 at 7pm.

Pamela Hall will direct the piece, which will have musical direction by Ken Lundie and additional musical staging by Gene Castle. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

The reading will be the inaugural offering of Legacy: The Musicals of Off-Broadway, an organization dedicated to offering concert presentations of landmark Off-Broadway musicals. It will also be a fundraising benefit for The Off-Broadway Alliance, which works to promote and support Off-Broadway theater through a variety of projects. In addition, Promenade is part of the previously announced 2010 New York Fornés Festival presented by INTAR and New York University’s Department of English and its program in Dramatic Literature.
