Julianne Nicholson, James Waterston to Star in Parents’ Evening at the Flea

Julianne Nicholson and James Waterston will star in the world premiere of Bathsheba Doran’s Parents’ Evening at the Flea Theatre, April 17-May 29, with an opening on April 29. Jim Simpson will direct.

In the play, a married couple prepare with dread for the annual “Parents’ Evening” at their daughter’s school.

The design team will include Jerad Schomer (sets), Brian Aldous (lights), and Claudia Brown (costumes).

Nicholson was most recently seen Off-Broadway in This at Playwrights’
Horizons and is best known for her starring role on Law &
Order: Criminal Intent
. Waterston’s Off-Broadway credits include The Importance of Being Earnest, As You Like It, and Buffalo Gal.
