Judith Blazer, Heidi Blickenstaff to Star in Inner Voices: Solo Musicals

Judith Blazer and Heidi Blickenstaff will star in Inner Voices: Solo Musicals, a co-presentation of two solo pieces by PREMIERE and Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters, running April 2-24. Jonathan Butterell will direct the production.

Blickenstaff will star in Mosaic, by Cheri Steinkellner and Georgia Stitt, a multi-media, real-time half hour in the life — and on the MacBook — of Ruth, a woman vlogging at the crossroads of birth, death, love and Diet Coke. Blazer will be featured in Whida Peru: Resurrection Tangle, by David Simpatico and Josh Schmidt, which brings us into the chambers of a very special creature, as she is forced to evaluate the quality of life, death, and what lies in between for her.

Blickenstaff’s Broadway credits include The Little Mermaid, [title of show], and The Full Monty. Among her other stage work is her Helen Hayes Award-winning turn in Meet John Doe. Blazer has been seen on Broadway in such shows as LoveMusik, 45 Seconds From Broadway, Titanic, and Me and My Girl. Among her Off-Broadway credits are Michael John LaChiusa’s Hello Again and Bernarda Alba.

The creative team will include Dane Laffrey (scenic and costume design), Jennifer Schriever (lighting design), Toby Algya (sound design), and Rocco DiSanti (video design).
