Jonathan Reynolds’ Girls In Trouble Extends Through April 11 at The Flea Theater

The Flea Theater’s world premiere of Jonathan Reynolds’ Girls In Trouble has extended a third time, and will now run through April 11. Jim Simpson directs the production.

Girls In Trouble takes on abortion in the sixties, when backrooms in the wrong part of town offered hope or death.

The cast features members of The Bats, including Andy Gershenzon, Brett Aresco, Betsy Lippitt, Akyiaa Wilson, Eboni Booth, Laurel Holland and Marshall York. The design team includes John McDermott (set design), Zack Tinkelman (lighting design), Amanda Bujac (costume design), and Jeremy Wilson (sound design).

Reynolds was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for his play, Stonewall Jackson’s House. Additional works include Dinner With Demons, Geniuses, and Fighting International Fat. He is the recipient of Rockefeller and Guggenheim Foundation grants as well as The Dramatists Guild Flora Roberts Award for Sustained Achievement.
