Tony nominee John Tartaglia will make an appearance at Books of Wonder (18 West 18th Street) on Saturday, March 20 from Noon until 2pm.

He will be there to promote his new show, Imaginocean, which he conceived and wrote. The musical, which features music by William Wade, follows the adventure of a group of fish friends, who uncover a map which leads them to ultimately uncover the treasure of each other’s friendship. The puppets for the piece are designed by The Puppet Kitchen; the set is by Robert Kovach.

The Books of Wonder appearance will include video clips and a performance from the show, along with a book reading by Dorsel (the only fish in the show who reads “human”).

Tartaglia also created the Emmy-nominated Johnny and the Sprites. On Broadway, he earned a Tony nomination for his performance in Avenue Q. Among his other credits are Shrek The Musical and Beauty and the Beast. In addition, he appeared for 10 seasons on Sesame Street.
