Jane Alexander, Joanna Gleason and Oliver Platt are scheduled to appear at Symphony Space’s annual Gala to be held on April 5 at Gotham Hall. The fundraising event will feature the inaugural presentation of the organization’s Access to the Arts Awards, which honor artists, corporations, philanthropists, and others who share its dedication to providing quality arts experiences to the greatest number of people.

Awardees for the first annual awards will be soprano Jessye Norman; arts and education funder JPMorgan Chase Foundation; and The 52nd Street Project, which offers unique arts and theatre opportunities to at-risk youth.

Dinner, as well as a silent auction, will precede the presentations and performance. Also scheduled to appear are Carnegie Hall executive and artistic director Clive Gillinson, Arturo O’Farrill, and other luminaries to be announced at a later date.
