Glenn Close, Orlando Bloom, Janet McTeer, et al. Set for Alfred Nobbs Film

Glenn Close, Amanda Seyfried, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Michael Gambon, Janet McTeer and Orlando Bloom will star in Rodrigo Garcia’s new film Albert Nobbs, according to Variety.

Close is adapting the script from the short story by Irish author George Moore with author John Banville. She plays a woman who must pass as a man to survive life in 19th-century Ireland and finds herself trapped by her decision.

Close won Tony Awards for her roles in The Real Thing, Death and the Maiden and Sunset Boulevard, and received a Tony nomination for Barnum. She is five-time Oscar nominee, and has won two Emmy Awards for her current FX series Damages and another Emmy for the television movie Serving in Silence: The Margerethe Cammermeyer Story.
