Cyndi Lauper, Nellie McKay, and Martha Wainwright are among the artists featured on the Telemundo/Nonesuch CD/DVD set Here Lies Love, which will be released April 6. The album is a recording of a new song cycle from David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, both of whom also perform on the recording.

The piece focuses on the life of former First Lady of the Philippines Imelda Marcos and her childhood servant, Estrella Cumpas. The disc also features performances by Camille, Steve Earle, St. Vincent, Alice Russell, Florence Welch, Sharon Jones, Natalie Merchant, Allison Moorer, Theresa Anderson, Róisin Murphy, Candie Payne, Charmaine Clamor, Shara Worden, Kate Pierson, Nicole Atkins, Tori Amos, and Santigold.

Along with the CD and DVD, the album features a 100-page book with details about the project, which is being developed by the Public Theater for future production. In anticipation of the release, a free download of "Please Don't," a song from Here Lies Love performed by Santiago, is available at the website dedicated to the project.
